About Me
My name is Jennifer Corzo. I am originally from the Bronx, NY. I'm the daughter of Cuban refugees who immigrated to the U.S. during the Mariel Boat-lift. I was raised by my wonderful father who was my greatest influence in life.
I am a combat veteran who joined the United States Air Force immediately after high school. My whole Air Force career has been in the Telecommunications field. I was a radio operator for 8 years and then I became an electromagnetic spectrum manager. I've been on several deployments to include 1 year in Afghanistan. I served 15 years of active duty and I'm currently serving in the Air National Guard. I work full-time as a Civil Servant.
I decided to start Live Fire Defense as a result of wanting to help others become educated, knowledgeable, and safe when it comes to firearms. I want to do my part to promote responsible firearms handling and ownership. Any law abiding citizen should be able to own and/or carry a firearm for personal protection if they desire to do so. There has been a steady rise in violent crime across the country these last fews years. Therefore the ability to defend oneself and/or loved ones is extremely important; it is a constitutional right.
I enjoy educating and training others. Teaching doesn't feel like a task when it comes to firearms because it is a passion for me. I speak, read, and write in Spanish so I can work with Spanish speaking clients as well. I hope to continue to grow as an instructor and make a long lasting impression on those whose paths I cross.
